Informal Coffee & Cakes in Edinburgh University Old College Quad – Sunday June 4th from 11.30am to 1pm
What a lovely gathering we had on Sunday June 4th (see detail below for invitation). It didn’t go completely to plan, as when we arrived at Edinburgh University, we discovered that the gates to Old College were closed – the students had finished for the term! It was a useful learning for future reference, to arrange these gatherings during term time! Nevertheless, we relocated 100 meters away to a lovely, sun filled garden, by the Geography Department. Coffee, cakes, chat and much reminiscing was enjoyed by former pupils, staff and parents. Have a look at some of the photographs, kindly taken by Susan Allman, and Fortiter Vivamus expertly cakes made by Pamela Jefferson (née Miller). Thank you all!
INVITATION
We hope that you may be able to join us at Edinburgh University Old College Quad on Sunday, June 4th from 11.30am to 1pm for an informal gathering of former pupils, staff and parents. We had such a super time at the unveiling of Mrs Hiddleston’s memorial bench in 2018, and we managed another gathering in May 2019, and have been determined to make this a more regular event now that we are able to do so once more!
When you arrive, head up to the Old College Quad Edinburgh, grab a take away coffee or tea on the way (there are plenty coffee shops nearby, or you can bring your own flask if you prefer), and join us for some cakes and a catch up.
We hope you can join us – please help us to spread the word to any former pupils, staff, parents who may wish to join in! Everyone with a connection to St Margaret’s is most welcome!
