What’s happening in 2026?

What we do in 2026 is very much up to you! As FP’s, we encourage any of you with an idea for an event/get together, to make it happen, and then please let us know about it here. And, if it is a reunion of any kind, please send photos, and tell us a bit about what you got up to, so we can share it and celebrate with you. So far, there are a few things on the go that we know of:

  • In the early months of 2026, the group working on relocating the school archive (located at St. George’s School), will continue to complete the new set up. The hope is, once the set up is complete, that there will be an “opening” event of some kind, to enable many of you to come to visit, chat and reminisce. More on that coming soon…..
  • March 2 – St. Margaret’s Singers have been invited to sing for the Liberton Kirk Guild. The choir plans to sing a few of their favourite scots songs and John Rutter pieces, amongst other favourites.
  • May 2 – St. Margaret’s Singers have been invited to sing for the residents of St. Raphael’s Care Home – apparently a few former staff/fps live there, and they have asked for the choir to come to sing for them. A lovely opportunity!
  • Several of you have suggested that we should have another coffee/cake gathering at Mrs Hiddleston’s memorial bench, in Edinburgh University Old Quad. Let’s arrange a date in spring, when it is a little warmer. More coming on this too….

Please let us know if you hear of any other events that we can add to this list!
