On behalf of the St. Margaret’s Singers, two of the choir members were very fortunate to be invited to attend the St. Margaret’s Day celebrations at Edinburgh Castle this year, hosted by the St. Margaret’s Chapel Guild. Susan and Cecile arrived at the Castle early in the morning, to find the atmosphere eerily beautiful and quiet. What a honour to attend the 9.30am service in St. Margaret’s Chapel, let by Neil Gardner. Later in the day Princess Anne arrived to chair the St. Margaret’s Chapel Guild AGM and we were very fortunate to have the opportunity to meet her and to tell her about our wonderful school and the choir that still sings every week in the name of St. Margaret.
